Traditionally this type of tea is best prepared with an elaborate Japanese tea ceremony using a bowl and a bamboo whisk. For a simplified preparation, put 1/2 tsp of matcha powder in the bottom of your matcha bowl or mug, then add an ounce of 160°-175°F water, and using the back of a spoon, make a smooth paste, then fill up the rest of your mug with the hot water.
